Drawing Room by 2Draw
2Draw will be hosting a drawing room where you can sit back and draw manga, comics and anything else you fancy. Their enthusiastic artists are also there to answer your burning questions regarding drawing or writing.
Resident Evil, Band of Brothers, Rambo… Are you getting excited hearing these words? Then this event is right up your alley. Returning this year is the Airsoft range. At a specially created course you can train your aim. Become the Abunai! 2017 sharpshooter!
Anigenda, the umbrella organisation for all J-pop culture related foundations in The Netherlands, have their own stand at Abunai! Test your J-pop culture knowledge or make your own paper fan at the their stand. You can also ask their staff everything you always wanted to know about the Dutch anime community. Anigenda can also inform you of J-pop culture related volunteer organizations all over the Netherlands if you feel like doing more with your hobby.
Archery tag is best described as a cross between dodgeball and paintball – with bow and arrow! Arrows are equipped with special foam tops, guaranteeing no pain or bruises. Action and sensations guaranteed! You can find archery tag next to Airsoft in the sport center. Please note that event is 18+.
Garapon Lottery by BAGGER
Come and try your luck at the BAGGER stand with the Garapon Lottery! If your number matches one of the winning numbers you win a lovely price. If you don’t have a winning number you get a koetjesreep to eat your sadness at not winning away! Aside from the Garapon Lottery you can learn more about BAGGER, the Cosplay Gala and this years’ meetings at their stand.
Cosplay Target by GoCosplayers
The Cosplay Target game is the ultimate way to meet new cosplayers! Your main goal is to hunt cosplayers and become the best hunter of the convention. Y ou can create an account and upload your cosplay selfies before Abunai! starts through www.gocosplayers.com. During the convention you visit their stand in the Matsuri area for registration. Download the app Cosplay Target in the Play store or play the game through your mobile browser via: http://play.gocosplayers.com
At the convention you can download the app, upload a Cosplay selfie and get your cosplay targets assigned. Find your Cosplay Targets to get points or be found and get points for being fabulous and findable. You can play this game as long as you like and whenever you like on the convention floor. A new round starts every day and every day a new champion gets chosen.
Craft Corner by Abunai!
This year Abunai! has its own craft corner! Here you can draw, color, sculpt, clay, and craft to your heart’s content. Lookers-on are also welcome, as are visitors who just want to chill in this cozy corner.
Dating Show by Nishicon
Nishicon will be hosting a dating show! Interested parties can take the stage as bachelor or potential date – preferably in Cosplay. The bachelor cannot see the candidates, but can ask them exciting and funny questions in order to select their favorite match.
Escape Room by CCM Events
The faint glow of the miko’s lantern guides your way. Bushes surrounding you start rustling as the wind picks up. The fog surrounding the graves seems to be receding, and you find yourself looking around. Not far behind you, a dark shadow is crossing the path, moving along the graves towards you. You turn around and hurry after the miko who is waiting for you at the shrine…
CCM-Events is back at Abunai! with not one, but two escape rooms! This means twice as many people can try to escape their latest room, the Shrine. You will need to register at their sign-up desk to enter an escape room. Their sign-up desk is located at the entrance of their escape rooms. Sign-up moments are spread over the weekend, so day visitors also have a chance to enter.
Evil Otaku Quiz by Kinjin Events
Quiz time! Only a true Otaku can overcome all the evil rules Kinjin set in place and claim themselves the truest Otaku of them all. Here is a hint to help you out: trust no one. Following your opponents can be quite dangerous…
House of Cards
House of Cards is the place to be for card game lovers. In their area they’ll be hosting Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon, Cardfight Vanguard, Ascension and Marvel Legendary. They have a specialist at hand for each card game so there is always someone who can help you. You can also borrow board games to play!
In addition to free playing, they will also host workshops and tournaments. Some tournaments may require a participation fee. Please check out the House of Cards event information page for more information on the workshops and the tournament time table!
Japanese Beer Tasting by Nosawa
This year at Abunai! Nosawa has a collection of beer all the way from Japan for you to taste! Join them and discover the taste of Japanese beer. Signing up is required beforehand, the attendance fee is €12.50. Please note that this activity is only open for visitors age 18 and above. The legal drinking age for The Netherlands is 18.
Japan Center Belgium
Look for the tatami mats in the Matsuri area to find Japans Cultureel Centrum booth hosting several activities. For example, sumi-e painting and zentangle; both different Japanese painting methods. You can also try on a kimono or make a paper fan.
Japan Feud by Kinjin Events
Kinjin Events asked people to fill a questionnaire with exciting topics ranging from anime, manga and games to technology, tradition and nature… Can you guess the answers? Take on the challenge or come and watch contestants fight for the prize in this Family Feud-based show!
Japanese Games by Kotatsu TV
Do you want to learn Japanese in an entertaining way? Come join Nari and Shiro from Kotatsu TV in their interactive Japanese lesson. Learn Japanese within an hour and participate in Japanese games.
Karaoke by Soramimi Karaoke
What would a Japanese pop culture convention be without a karaoke bar? For the very first time, the karaoke bar is held in an actual bar at Abunai! Come and sing your favorite anime/J-pop songs, enjoy the fun atmosphere and have a drink or two. For the actual song list, please check http://bit.ly/SMMSongList

Anything other than .txt and .mp3 will rejected. If you want to add an instrumental version of the song, please send the sung version too. Facepainting by Kumadori
Kumadori will show you how the tattoo you’ve always wanted will look on you – through the magic of painting! They can also help you make your cosplay more epic, or you can just get painted for the fun of it. Geisha or kabuki, Kumadori can create any style you like.

Nippon Bingo by Kinjin Events
Bingo at a Japanese culture convention?! You read that right: get ready for a bingo with a Japanese twist. All items you will have to cross off are related to Japan. Be sure to join the Nippon Bingo if you’re feeling lucky and ready to laugh!
NoZLan, a group of Anime and Cosplay enthusiasts, will host a photobooth to give everyone the opportunity to get their picture taken at conventions in optimal conditions. Most photographs will be published on their website. It is also possible to print your picture(s) at their booth for a small fee.
Piñata Japones sponsored by Tofu Cute
Tofu Cute will graciously sponsor a very special activity for the Matsuri: Piñata Japones. Their Panda-Chan will attend the activity. Can you figure out what it is? Piñata Japones will be held at the following times: Friday 22:00, Saturday 19:30 and Sunday 13:00.

The Stories of Japan by Gerard Jellema
Gerard Jellema is a storyteller by trade. He has told Japanese legends, fables and fairytales at many conventions and other events. The stories of the Shinto gods, of samurais and geishas, of strange creatures wandering around are quite entertaining and will give you an unique insight in the heart and soul of Japan. He will entertain Abunai! visitors with a selection of Japanese folktales in two sets. The first set is in Dutch, featuring legends and fables. The second set is told in English, a selection of stories of ghosts and other strange creatures.
Sugar Rush Show by Tofu Cute
Is your thirst for Japanese candy not satisfied after a day of wild spending and partying in true Abunai! style? Tofu Cute presents the Sugar Rush Show: a snack tasting panel presented by Miss Tofu and her glamorous assistant Rob. It’s filled with Japanese adverts, questionably hilarious British humour and free candy! If free candy isn’t your style they will also have an after hours Tofu Cute stall where you can stock up for your midnight feast to keep you buzzing all night long!
The Matsuri will have a dedicated SYNC area, focused on the Dutch dubbing industry. The entire Saturday is lined up with SYNC events. You can watch the documentary, ask the filmmakers questions, meet the voices of your childhood, collect autographs and take pictures. Tea Ceremony by Ambaran Art
Escape the busy convention by joining Ambaran Art’s tea ceremony. The ceremony in its simplest form is called oboncha, meaning “tea on the tray”. You can either participate in the ceremony or watch it. The ceremony will be first come basis depending on the location.

Winter Wonder Cosplay Ball
Always wanted to know if you are lucky or not? Visit the Winter Wonder Cosplay Ball booth at the Matsuri and draw an Omikuji sacred lot for yourself! If you’re really lucky, you can even win a free ticket for the first ever edition of the Winter Wonder Cosplay Ball on the 9th of December 2017 in Turnhout, Belgium!
